This event has taken place for over twenty years and is one of the most popular events on the island. Join the community and enjoy live music and entertainment\, unforgettable coastal cuisine\,  and of course drinks provided by restaurants and partners from all across Glynn County. \nThe event takes place on Saturday\, January 22\, 2022\, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 Pm in Gascoigne Bluff Park on St. Simons Island\, GA.  Tickets are $75.00 for members and $95.00 for non-members. The proceeds from the oyster roast go towards maintaining more than 1\,000 acres in our trust. St. Simons Island prides itself on preserving and protecting the natural and scening character of St. Simons for its current residents and for future residents and visitors.

DESCRIPTION:Visitors will walk through centuries old live oaks and be treated to a guided tour of the 1850’s plantation home\, specially decorated for Christmas. Several period dressed interpreters will share stories of the plantations past. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. \nHistory buffs will enjoy Company A\, 26th Georgia Volunteer Infantry and other units as they re-enact a pre-Civil War muster of the Glynn County Guards and Brunswick Rifles militia units. You will have the opportunity to see cannon and musket firings as well as demonstrations of camp life. \nAfter touring the house enjoy hot wassail (a spiced Christmas punch) prepared over an open fire in an authentic cast iron pot. \n$8 for adults\, $5 for youth (6-17)\, children 5 and under are free. \nThis program requires pre-registration\, as space will be limited\, and social distancing will be required. We invite you to stroll through our neighborhood and enjoy the variety of performers on different porches each hour until our finale band plays at 5pm.
