The Cloister Chapel

Your romance has been like a fairytale, so your venue should be, too. Like a storybook come to life, the Cloister Chapel is a beautifully simple, cozy, non-denominational wedding location, with traditional heart pine pews and beautiful stained glass windows.

The Cloister Garden

Under a canopy of ancient live oaks and nestled next to the Solarium, with a turtle pond nearby, the magic of this garden setting is rivaled only by its flexibility for enchanting ceremonies.

The Cloister Ballroom and Patio

With a beautiful, decorative wooden ceiling and ornate chandeliers, this grand, exquisite space can be transformed for your perfect soirée. For added charm and capacity, guests can flow onto the adjacent Cloister Patio, a beautiful walkway featuring views of the river and a large fountain surrounded by graceful landscaping and swaying palms.

Mizner Ballroom

Our newest addition to your wide array of options. The multi-functional, 5,000-square-foot Mizner Ballroom features crystal chandeliers and wood beamed ceilings. Flooded with light by day through multiple arched windows, or romantic after dark, with a private courtyard veranda just outside.

Black Banks Terrace

With an incredible view of the marsh and river, dramatic curving staircases, beautiful fountains, and stunning architectural views of the building, the Black Banks Terrace is a picture-perfect backdrop for your big day.

Black Banks Lawn

Time to propose? Or for an intimate ceremony? Golden hues from the salt marsh make this an exceptional place for either one. Or both. Here, your guests will have the very best view of the sun setting over Black Banks River.

Spanish Lounge

History. Tradition. Both are celebrated along with your wedding in this elegant, historic space. Re-created when The Cloister was rebuilt, it retains its original ceiling, hallmark stained glass windows, chandeliers, lamps, and fireplace surrounds. Any event here adds to Sea Island’s history as well as yours. An adjacent covered terrace provides views of the Garden and Chapel.

The Clubroom and Patio

A striking, exquisite space. Mercury glass doors, wooden floors, built-in stage, and exceptional crystal chandeliers give the Clubroom sophistication, splendor, and elegance. A disco ball hidden in the main chandelier adds the perfect amount of sparkle. With access to the North Patio and its over-sized chess board, fountain, and pavers that embrace its garden setting.

Wine Cellar

Cool and candlelit, with its own sommelier upon request. A heart pine wooden ceiling created from a mid-1800s South Carolina sawmill. Limestone from North Georgia. A handmade English oak estate table. Ironwork imported from England and France. Romantic and rustic candle chandelier. This fully functioning wine cellar is just right for intimate celebrations.

Rainbow Island

Celebrate riverside with a close-up view of Black Banks River. Think casual, with picnic tables, stone fire pits, and wooden walkway over the marsh. The perfect location for a rustic, chic outdoor affair, with a screened-in pavilion with fireplace. Bringing a band? They’ll sound great from the on-site stage.

If you’re dreaming of a Southern Gothic wedding with truly inspiring views, Crane Cottage is an exceptional Georgia wedding venue. Intimate weddings and elopements at our oceanfront venues are nothing short of spectacular, or allow us to design a completely custom wedding on the riverfront lawn. When it comes to all the details, we take care of just about everything along the way.

Crane Cottage

This grand, Italian Renaissance-style cottage, features a formal sunken garden with fountains and an upper terrace – perfect for wedding ceremonies up to 250 people. The sunken garden with its lush trellises and fountains is an ideal ceremony venue followed by cocktail hour on the Reflecting Pool Lawn, and a seated dinner in the Courtyard. Cherokee

Cherokee welcomes events up to 50 guests. Many couples have their ceremony on the Cherokee Lawn, followed by the pleasures of dinner, reception and dancing in the Main Hall. A Cherokee wedding includes its lawn, terrace and interiors. The ideal setting for a smaller wedding party, reserving the ten guest rooms and suites is required to create an intimate atmosphere for your wedding weekend. View Cherokee Cottage Layout.

Riverfront Lawn

Whether on a blissful afternoon or with the glow of a glorious sunset, views of the river and a canopy of ancient oaks provide a sensational, open-air setting for outdoor ceremonies. Follow us the vows with dinner and dancing. This storybook setting can include the happy couple departing in a horse-drawn carriage.

Beachside and Oceanfront

Say “I do” with sand between your toes and a sea breeze in your hair. A Georgia beach wedding at the resort’s Beach Pavilion, a spacious open-air structure, accommodates up to 70 guests – the perfect seaside setting for alfresco wedding events or rehearsal dinners.

Morgan Center

Once J.P. Morgan’s private indoor tennis court, the Morgan Center is our largest event venue. For events up to 300 persons, the Morgan Center provides an outdoor terrace and lawn, a mezzanine, and a large main floor for receptions and seated dinners. Riverfront Lawn ceremonies may choose to move into the Morgan Center for receptions.

Hall of Mirrors

Smaller, more intimate events are sensational in the private banquet rooms which flank The Resort’s historic Hall of Mirrors. Choose from The Pulitzer, Federal Reserve, Aldrich and Alexander Rooms. Each features 12-foot ceilings, a fireplace, and can accommodate 20-30 guests. Combine two or more rooms for larger groups up to 100.

The Wharf

The Wharf takes getting married by the water to a whole new level. Say I Do on the Jekyll River with ceremonies and receptions on the historic wharf, with the best sunset view on the entire island as your backdrop!
