It is an airport for private flights only. it provides fueling for private aircraft, maintenance, avionics, pilot serve es, up to date weather information, and aircraft catering. Once you exit the aircraft you will have the option to rent a car from Hertz or Arvis for any transportation needs you may have.

Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport
The Savannah/ Hilton Head International Airport is a commercial and military use airport in Savannah Georgia. IT is owned by the city of Savannah and managed by the Savannah Airport Commission. It is located only seven miles northwest of the nautical historic district of Savannah. Once arriving at the airport there are many options for rental cars and other forms of transportation to get you to St. Simons Island. Airfare is dependent on the time of year and where you are flying from. Savannah is just a short hour and fifteen-minute drive to St. Simons Island. You could get there by bus or car.

Brunswick Golden Isles Airport
The Brunswick Golden Isles Airport, formerly known as Glynco Jetport, is a county-owned public-use airport. It is located only 5 miles north of the central business district of Brunswick. This airport is most popular for its use for general aviation, however, some commercial airlines do fly in and out of this airport. The number of flights available varies from day to day.
You can fly into this airport by the Delta Connection jet service, and even rent a car on-site to travel from the airport to St. Simons Island. This is one of the closest airports to the island, seeing as it is only a 22-minute trip from the airport to the island.

Jekyll Island Airport
This small general aviation airport is located in Jekyll Island, GA United States. It is a short two miles away from central Jekyll island. Since the runway is so small, no commercial flights fly into this airport. However, if you are flying private you are in for a scenic tour of the island on your landing strip. It is just a quick 30-minute drive from
Jekyll Island Airport to St. Simons Island.

Jacksonville International Airport
The Jacksonville International Airport is a civil-military public airport and is only 13 miles north of downtown Jacksonville. It is located in Duval County, Florida, and is owned and operated by the Jacksonville Aviation Authority. There are shopping and dining options within the airport as well as rental cars. There are many different flights coming in and out of this airport, including commercial flights. JAX airport offers a wide variety of flights and flight times to make traveling easy. While this is not the nearest airport to the island, it is one of the larger ones with more flight options. It is a little over an hour away from the island.
